Modern Sinner
Salvation in Plastic
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Being back at work today gave me somewhat of a sense of repulsion. Don’t get me wrong, i generally like my job, but sitting there catching up on paper work, it was just too mindless and unstimulating.
John and I had a long conversation about being unhappy, and 25, and he made really great point, is that part of the problem we’re having is not having adult goals. I assure you that none of my goals are adult in nature.
As I was discussing with John, i feel that one of my problems is that I despite loving all my friends, and I do, i love you all so very much, none of you have nearly the same interest i have. Which is alright. But sometimes it gets hard. Having a set of friends to do this with, and having a different set of friends to do that with. You know? Does that make any sense. Its really a rather minor and i’m sure petty thing to complaint about, but i feel is valid.
Additionally, my lack of structured fun activity(ies) outside and after work is becoming a problem. I do nothing but go straigth home only to peruse blogs, and download music, which is not a horrible thing, but its fairly wasteful used of good time. So ideas for what might happen.

Alast, music is what I do, and dang am i good. Late last night i got ahold of the new Architecture in Helsinki album entitled Places Like This, not slated to be out until September 7. :-D Through first listen i like it, though the guy sing s in a really sort of froggy tone that i’m not sure I all together like. Because of it, there seems to be more yelling as oppose to the reverent shouting of the previous album. Additionally, i found a remix of Nina Simone’s Ain’t Got No I Got Life that makes a full 180 on the original. Its joyful and full of soul and dance. Lastly, perusing torrents, I serendipediouly came across a venezuelian group called Los Paranoias and their album Hey! Dónde Están Los Paranoias? which is pure joy. Its fairly generic rock, kind of twee at times, sometimes more singer songwriter esque, but almost always great. Finding not so well known latin american rock/pop bands is my all time favorite.
Tonight, i went out just after 8pm to get some bread, and was startled to find some daylight still lingering on the western sky. It freaked me out. Still, i went to the panaderia, to get some pan dulce and bolillo. It was great. The guy behind the counter was super courteous and gave me a free pan dulce because it was on the small side. How about that? It was especially nice to ride my bike there and back. Got me out doing something. More bike riding has been added to my to do list. (via The Daily Dribble Of MischievousN3RD)
