3 Day Weekend Redux Again (Again [Redundant])

Despite my best efforts to take some time and read a book this weekend, it never really happened, this is what did

* Chuntomatico —-> not so shabby. I’ve become one of them. I walked in and was saying hello to half the club. Oy Vey. i guess its alright. I eventually got my dancing on, and I had a 40 of Carta Blanca, there by living up to the chunti name.

* Spin Magazine is back —-> I finally re subscribed and its like I never left. I spent a great deal of time on Saturday looking up music mostly to find it disappointing. Not all of it. Good stuff includes:

——> Joanna Newsome- Joanna Newsom & The Ys Street Band EP
——> Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
——> Hellogoodbye - Remixes

* Shuffle Shuffle —-> Danny and I traded shuffles. I have already taken the time to steal some music off of it. <3 Senuti. I feel bad because most of the music on my shuffle is not at all upbeat, so Danny has to suffer through my slight sauntering toned tunes. You should try it. Give you music a kick.

* Hiking —-> You’ve all seen the pictures. Neal is crazy and an early riser, and so I had to get up early. He wanted to go hiking, so we went up to the Angeles National Forest. I was not at all dressed for it, but i have no shorts. This needs to get fixed.

*Working on the day off —-> I guess now I’m officially a consultant. I spent 5+ hours on my day off helping my cousin’s husband’s family with the new business they are starting up selling wholesale jewelry on the internet. I got paid, so at least the lack of free time was worth it.

*Car Wash —-> My car is cleaner than it was yesterday. Lets see how long this last.

*Used Books —-> Sunday was beautiful out. In fact Los angeles has been having some rather excellent weather. It behooved me to get out and finally make it out to a used book store. uptown whittier has nothing short of Fantastic used book store. They’re currently relocating to an excellently large space. It looks like it will be awesome when they’re all moved in. I got the following books:

——> 1984 - George Orwell°
——> A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man - James Joyce°
——> Things Fall Apart - Chinua Achabe°
——> The Good Earth - Pearl S. Buck^
——> The Shipwrecked Sailor - Gabriel Garcia Marquez^
——> The Plague - Albert Camus^
——> The Fall - Albert Camus°
——> A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens°
——> Animal Farm - George Orwell°

*A side note on uptown whittier —-> Maybe its the fact that i had only ever been there at night, but Uptown Whitter is da bomb. It was filled with all these cute looking kids with a total lack of pretentiousness about them and the whole place really. It was also littered with older white people doing their thing. it was pleasant and bright and it look like a great place to just go with friends. Why did no one tell me?! Jerks!

*3rd Street Promenade —-> I remembered why i never go there. It wasn’t horrible just not worth the time.

*Targé —-> The usual trip. Managed not to over spend. Lots of Vitamin Water and Yogurt for you and me.

And that’s pretty much it. if i forgot something you can remind me of it later. (via The Daily Dribble Of MischievousN3RD)
